I come to psychotherapy from a background of relief work in S.E. Asia and the Americas, giving me experience of people in extreme distress.

Gradually, through attempting to help child prostitutes in the third world, I moved to studying, writing and teaching.

I am now a senior BACP practitioner, writer, lecturer and broadcaster.
